4 Apps Your Facebook Page Can’t Live Without

With thousands of apps available for your business page, it’s hard to figure out which ones will actually make your life a little easier.

We’ve cut through the clutter and come up with the 4 apps you can’t (or shouldn’t) live without.

RSS Graffiti

With over 1,400,000 monthly users, RSS Graffiti is one of the most popular apps on Facebook. It helps reduce the amount of time you spend posting updates on your page, by automatically pulling information from your RSS feed.

This means every time you write a new blog post, create a new page on your site, or even post something to YouTube or Twitter, it will automatically get posted to your Facebook page.

Very easy to set up and use, it offers lots of options in terms of customization: You can specify how you’d like your posts to look, how often it should check your feed, how often it should post to your wall, and much more.

Contact Me

It’s amazing how many business owners forget to leave a way for fans to contact them. Sure, they can contact you via your wall, or track down your website link and find your contact email, but why make them work for it?

Contact Me is super easy to set up and use, and creates a simple, customizable contact form for your page.

Contact Me also stores new leads you get through the form, for you to sort and use as you like. This is a great feature for large pages with lots of activity.

Survey Monkey

If you already conduct online surveys of your customers, there’s a good chance you’re using Survey Monkey. This September, Survey Monkey launched its own Facebook app so you can survey your fans. (Note: this app only works on pages, not on personal profiles. This is also another reason not to use your personal profile for business!)

In my experience, people love to be asked for feedback, and the interactive nature of pages is ideal for doing this.

Find out what your customers want, what you could be doing better, or even just create a fun poll to engage your fans.

Wildfire Promotions

Since Facebook doesn’t allow contests and promotions to be run directly on your page, using a promotions app is the ideal way to run a contest for your fans.

One of the most popular and my personal favorite is the Wildfire Promotions app. This is a paid app, however for an occasional, basic contest or sweepstakes you’re only looking at around $5-$10 per promotion.

Prices range up to $250 plus a small daily fee for branded, completely customizable contests, but the low-cost option is usually good enough for a basic promotion.
